  • API Machine Translation Service via Developer Portal - the Service.

Subscription Pricing

The fees for subscribing to the Service are for a calendar month. They are payable in advance and subject to conditions as outlined in clause 4 of the Lingo24 Service Level Terms and Conditions. Lingo24 reserves the right to review these prices at any time. No refunds will be provided for cancellations provided part the way through a monthly subscription.

Licence

During the term of your subscription and subject to your compliance with these terms, Lingo24 provides you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and terminable licence to use the API and access the Service, use the documentation, and other materials made available by Lingo24 for use with the Service and API solely in support of you exercising your rights in this licence.

Software Upgrades

Lingo24 is continually evolving the MT API and will release new versions of, and updates to, the Developer Portal and Machine Translation Software, whether for the purpose of fixing an error, bug or other issue in our platform or enhancing its functionality. Such upgrades may result in changes to the appearance and/or functionality of the software.

Proprietary Rights

All content on the Lingo24 Developer Website are protected by worldwide Copyright Laws and Treaty provisions. Material published on this website is the intellectual property of Lingo24. All rights reserved worldwide. It is prohibited to reproduce any content published on this website without express written permission from Lingo24.

Fair Usage Policy

The following fair usage policy concerns the use of our API Developer Portal. It is designed to make sure we can provide all our customers with services that are great value, responsive and reliable. You must not use the Services in a manner which is: (a) unlawful, fraudulent, criminal or otherwise illegal activities; (b) involves any material which is offensive, abusive, defamatory, indecent, obscene, unlawful or a breach of the copyright, trademark, intellectual property, confidence, privacy or any other rights of any person or organisation; (c) making excessive use of, or placing unusual burdens on, the network and servers

Privacy

Lingo24 does not retain the customer’s data.

Quality

Machine Translation is not suitable for all uses (lingo24 provides a full range of professional translation services to match different needs). The outputs cannot be guaranteed and the quality will vary depending on the quality and style of the input text. This service is meant for requests where fast turnaround times are required and for which style, natural fluency and structure are not primary considerations. The Lingo24 Quality Investigation process does not apply to this Service.

Modifications

Lingo24 may change the Service or delete features of the Service at any time and for any reason. Lingo24 may cancel or suspend your use of the Service at any time without notice and for any reason. Upon Service cancellation, your right to use the Service stops immediately.

Customer Support

Lingo24 provides online and email technical support during UK business day (9am to 6pm) Monday to Friday for customers on paid plans. Customers shall contact Lingo24 Support by email at the following address: api-support@lingo24.com. In order for Lingo24 to process your support request, you shall: (1) Identify himself and the API affected, (2) Describe the nature of the outage, (3) Provide contact information in the form of email for follow up communications.

Translation Terms & Conditions

The Business Document Translation API provides access to order projects that are part of Lingo24's core professional translation services. Each service level has its own set of Terms and Conditions, which can be found here. Any orders made through the API, either directly or using the Portal, will be covered by the terms outlined within the service level's terms and conditions outlined on our main website. Authorisation of an order through the API is considered acceptance of the relevant terms.

In order for Lingo24’s web site to properly fulfill its obligation to our customers, it is necessary for us to supplement the information we receive with information from 3rd party sources. This information is not shared with any additional outside parties.

Lingo24 collects information from its users at several different points on its web site. Lingo24 will not contact you or your customers with third party advertising or promotion without your explicit permission. We strongly value this relationship and do not want to compromise this in any way. Lingo24 will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement.

You agree that Lingo24 at its sole discretion, has the right (but not the obligation) to delete or deactivate your account, block your email or IP address, or otherwise terminate your access to or use of the Site (or any part thereof), immediately and without notice, and remove and discard any Content within the Site, for any reason, including, without limitation, if Lingo24 believes that you have acted inconsistently with these Terms. Further, you agree that Lingo24 shall not be liable to them or any third-party for any termination of such access to the Site. Further, you agree not to attempt to use the Site or the Service after said termination.

You further acknowledge that Lingo24 may, in its sole discretion, preserve or disclose your Content, as well as your information, such as e-mail addresses, IP addresses, timestamps, and other user information, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such preservation or disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with the legal process, enforce these Terms, respond to claims that any Content violates the right of third-parties; or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Lingo24, its users or the general public.

You understand that the technical processing and transmission of the Service, including your Information, may involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices.
